The Trail des Jonquilles du Haut-Lignon is a Saturday afternoon trail running event in Tence, Haute-Loire. It is centered around the daffodils that bloom in local meadows in early spring. Participants can select from three course lengths: La Tige, a 10 km route with 200 m elevation gain; La Pétale, a 15 km route with 280 m elevation gain; and La Jonquille, a 24 km option with 480 m elevation gain, which connects the two shorter routes.
La Tige follows the Lignon river through a Natura 2000 protected area, passing the Étang de Joux and its chateau, before returning through fields and woods to finish on Boulevard Léon Rocher. La Pétale begins along the Sérigoule river, offering views towards Lizieux and Mézenc, and passes the Roche Druidique. It then returns via a somewhat technical descent, crosses the Mazeaux river, and passes through the La Sérigoule care home to acknowledge the residents. The organizers characterize the courses as pleasant, moderately challenging, and suitable for runners who prefer a consistent pace.
