The Trail des Pays de Monts is a late-winter weekend race series held at the Ernest Pajot stadium in the forest at Saint-Jean-de-Monts, on France’s Vendée coast. Organized by St Jean de Monts Vendée Triathlon Athlétisme, it focuses on off-road running, with separate events for trail runners, cani-trail teams, cani-walkers, Nordic walkers, and children.
The routes traverse different sections of the Forêt domaniale des Pays de Monts, connecting the race closely to the local pine forest rather than the seafront. Now in its twentieth edition, it has the character of a local fixture. During race weekend, the commune manages traffic and parking around several roads; Avenue de la Forêt is temporarily closed, and marshals control traffic where runners cross.
