Every finisher at the Trail des Roses in Moras receives a rose, a beer or other drink, and a Moras snack at the finish. This winter trail-running event, organized by the local school support group, offers two timed distances: 10 km and 21 km. The organizers present it as a race to regain fitness, suitable for runners returning to form or those aiming for a specific time. Demand is high, with a cap of 900 participants, and the organizers frequently have to refuse entries.
The routes feature open viewpoints, climbs, and descents designed to challenge the legs rather than allow for an easy jog. These courses are in their second and final iteration, offering returning runners a last chance to improve their previous times on this specific course layout. The series has completed five previous editions, and the finish emphasizes the local, social aspect, with friends sharing food, drinks, and the race’s flower tradition post-race.
