Trail du boeuf is a small winter trail event held in Mèze, located in the Hérault department of Occitanie, France. The next edition is scheduled for early February. It includes an 8 km walk, an 8.5 km trail run, and a 15 km race, catering to those seeking a brief excursion and runners desiring a more demanding natural terrain challenge.
The courses traverse the countryside surrounding Mèze, featuring forest paths and green scenery instead of paved roads. The 15 km event is not large, with approximately 180 finishers in recent results, contributing to a more community-focused atmosphere. A notable tradition is the post-race offering of brasucade, a local mussel specialty prepared over coals, accompanied by beer.
