The Trail du Castellas de Saint-Victor-la-Coste takes place in early April in Saint-Victor-la-Coste, a village in the Gard department of Occitanie, southern France. Participants can choose between 12 km and 22 km running courses, or a 10 km walking route for those who prefer hills without the competitive distance. The event also offers children’s and junior routes, making it suitable for a family outing rather than solely for competitive runners.
The courses traverse the natural, rugged terrain surrounding Saint-Victor-la-Coste, featuring sufficient elevation changes to provide a genuine trail running challenge even on the shorter distances. The 10 km route includes approximately 350 meters of climbing, the 12 km trail about 400 meters, and the longest trail, around 20 to 22 km, involves over 750 meters of ascent. RAID 3D is the organizer, and the inclusion of walkers, trail runners, young participants, and varied course lengths contributes to its local, nature-focused atmosphere on the wilder side of the Gard.
