The Trail du Château de Tallard begins and ends at the Parc de la Durance amphitheater, situated below the castle in Tallard, Hautes-Alpes. This timed morning event features two nature races: La Grande Conquête, a 10 km course with 270 meters of elevation gain, and La Petite Conquête, a 6 km course with 130 meters of elevation gain. The 10 km race commences at 9:00 AM, followed by the 6 km race at 9:30 AM. Both races offer overall and category rankings.
The courses traverse paths and tracks in the hills surrounding Tallard, presenting accessible terrain with sufficient variety for a genuine trail experience. The 10 km route combines runnable stretches with more challenging sections, includes water stations, and has an intermediate time checkpoint on Chemin de Tresbaudon. The 6 km option is designed for novice trail runners or those seeking a shorter distance, with refreshments available at the finish. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall. Spectators are welcome at the Parc de la Durance, where the race village provides coffee, drinks, and an on-site medical team.
