The Trail du Dauphiné begins in Meymans, a village within the commune of Beauregard-Baret in the Drôme, situated at the initial slopes of the Vercors. This winter trail race takes place in January, offering two shorter distance choices: 8 km for a concise run, and 15 km for participants seeking more ascent.
Both courses primarily utilize paths over roads. The 8 km route gains 210 meters in elevation, and the 15 km route ascends 520 meters, providing a challenge even in the shorter distance. Participants aged 14 and above are eligible to compete. The event is organized by Triathlon Romanais Péageois, and aid stations along with changing facilities are provided at the location.
