Trail du printemps is a spring trail event in Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny, Savoie Alps, offering four options: a 25 km trail, a 12 km trail, an 11 km sport walk, and a 10 km family walk. The 25 km trail involves a significant climb of 1,280 meters, while the 12 km route includes 550 meters of climbing. The event maintains a relaxed atmosphere, with walkers and runners participating on the same day and formats suitable for experienced trail runners and those primarily seeking an outing.
The 25 km course begins in Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny, proceeds towards Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte, ascends Combefolle, and connects to the Sentier des Mules. It passes Montlambert at 850 meters, then continues via Roissarvaz, the paravalanche, the Col du Frêne road, La Plantaz, a forest track towards Plamont, Le Chapeau, Saint-Pierre-La Montaz, and the Allues reservoir before concluding at the Salle Polyvalente de la Treille in Albigny. Aid stations are located at km 11 for the 25 km route, km 9 for the 12 km route, and at the finish. Following the race, participants receive a complimentary noon aperitif, with an optional Savoyard meal and live music from local bands like Bande à Rioule or Les Givrés.
