Trail du Rouvray 2026

The Trail du Rouvray begins near the INSA gym at the Technopole in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, Seine-Maritime, Normandy. This November trail event uses forest paths and dirt tracks. Past race options included short routes of about 10 or 11 km, longer routes from 20 to 30 km, and an 11 km Nordic walk. The course runs through the Madrillet forest and the larger Londe-Rouvray state forest. Runners should anticipate cool Normandy weather, damp ground, and potentially needing a rain jacket. The route departs the INSA area, heading into the woods towards the police school. Fields and forest tracks form a significant part of the course. It is not designed as a difficult mountain race; the 20 km route offers approximately 231 m of elevation gain. However, it does feature technical sections, caves, steep paths, and areas requiring rope assistance. Around 800 participants have been expected for the event, organized by RCS76, the Running club stéphanais. Laurent Desanglois and Dominique Torchy are among the organizers. Torchy characterizes it as a relatively straightforward trail for newcomers to the sport. The race resumed after a two-year hiatus due to Covid and a lack of volunteers.
