Trail du Ventolet 2027

Trail du Ventolet is a trail-running event held in Villefranche-de-Lauragais, Occitanie, featuring routes across the Lauragais countryside where the Ventolet wind is present. The event offers runners four individual trail options ranging from 8 km to 23 km, alongside a 2x7 km relay for teams of two and a 9 km walk without timing for those preferring to enjoy the route without competition. The courses consist of approximately 80% trails and 20% paved roads, crossing natural landscapes and forests instead of town streets. They pass through six communes: Villefranche-de-Lauragais, Montgaillard-Lauragais, Trébons-sur-la-Grasse, Saint-Vincent, Vallègue, and Avignonet-Lauragais. The route has been updated for the fifth edition, and certain sections cross private property, so participants are asked not to scout these areas beforehand. The race names — Ventada, Ventola, Pichona, and Mièja — are derived from Occitan, connecting the event to the regional language of the Pays d’Oc.
