Trail Hivernal des Noct'en Bulles is a 15 km winter night trail run held in Sacy, a village in Yonne within Bourgogne-Franche-Comte. Participants begin in the early evening, typically in mid-December, ascending approximately 500 m over natural trails. The event is intentionally non-competitive; there are no bibs, no timing, and no rankings. The focus is on running together after dark, not on achieving a specific time.
The course features no aid stations, with refreshments reserved for the finish. Therefore, runners must carry their own water and essential safety equipment. A functional headlamp or chest lamp is required, while phone lights are prohibited. Reflective clothing or a reflective bag is also mandatory. Poles, animals, and unregistered participants are forbidden for safety reasons. The event also serves a charitable cause: all profits benefit Association AMOUR'RETT de LOUISE, an organization dedicated to supporting research and enhancing the daily life of Louise, who has Rett syndrome.
