Trail Mornaysienne, also known as La Mornaisienne, is a forest running event held in Mornay, Saone-et-Loire. It begins at the communal hall and features two distances: a 7 km route with approximately 100 m of elevation gain, and a 12.3 km race with around 220 m of elevation gain. The shorter distance is open to both runners and Nordic walkers, while the longer distance is exclusively for runners.
The course is predominantly off-road, with about 90 percent of the route crossing the forest. Jean-Francois Pariat and his team create the routes, including a recent forest course, and the event is organized by Sport Loisir de Mornay in conjunction with the U.A.C.B. club. This marks the 25th edition of the race, which attracts about 250 participants and offers essential on-site amenities like aid stations and changing rooms.
