Trail du Suc des Vents is a trail-running series held in Saint-Alban-d'Ay in Ardèche, offering four distances: 12 km, 23 km, 36 km, and 54 km. The shortest race takes place at night over a hilly loop of paths and trails within the commune. The longer distances lead runners onto more challenging ridge terrain between Rochelipe, near Lalouvesc, and Saint-Alban-d'Ay.
The event, which had reached at least its twelfth edition, attracted a record 740 runners, with 121 athletes competing in the 12 km night race. Conditions can vary significantly over the weekend: the night race has typically seen good weather, while participants on the ridges have faced cold, rain, and snow. The field also includes Joëlette teams, with participation from API Poly Handi, highlighting the race's community aspect alongside its demanding mountain-style courses.
