Trail Sud Touraine, an early-season trail running event, takes place in Chambon, Indre-et-Loire. It offers races from 12 km to 46 km. The primary 46 km Loches Sud Touraine race is part of the National Trail Challenge and qualifies runners for the French Short Trail Championships. The 46 km duo race is completed by pairs who run together throughout.
The courses traverse the Creuse and Claise valleys and the Bois des Cours plateau. The 46 km duo involves approximately 974 m of elevation gain and 960 m of descent. The 23 km race follows the initial 7 km and final 11 km of the 46 km course. The 12 km race uses the last 11 km section. A timed Nordic walk starts and is ranked on the 12 km circuit. An open hike, with technical sections removed, follows the same short circuit.
