The Trail Urbain de Douai is an 8 km urban trail in Douai, northern France, with a route designed around the city’s buildings and monuments. Participants can run or walk the course, which has a deliberately relaxed format: there is no timing and no ranking. Registration is online only, capped at 2,000 participants, and the basic 8 km entry fee is 8 euros, with family prices available for one adult running or walking with up to three children.
The course is a single loop city outing, not a competitive race, intended to allow participants to see Douai differently while moving through its streets. A headlamp is included in the kit, giving the event a night-time atmosphere and making it more of a shared urban exploration than a standard road race. Bibs are collected at the Hôtel du Dauphin, the tourist office, with identification required. The event is returning for its fourth edition.
