Ultra Monplaisir by MJC is a timed trail race in Parc de Parilly, Lyon, France’s Rhône department, held in April. Instead of racing one fixed distance, runners repeat a 7 km loop with about 100 m of climbing and see how many laps they can finish within 3, 6, or 12 hours. Each format is open to adults and can be run solo or as a two-person relay.
The loop setup makes the race simple to follow: everyone returns through the same park circuit repeatedly, so pacing and lap management matter as much as raw speed. MJC Monplaisir organizes the series, and the event supports a charitable cause, with Une Souris Verte present to share its work with runners and spectators. The race leans toward accessibility as well as endurance, offering short and long time slots and relay options for people who want to share the effort.
