Ultra Trail la Mayenne is an 85 km trail race along the towpath between Mayenne and Daon in western France. Participants can run the full distance solo or as a relay. The event emphasizes a long, practical endurance day rather than a mountain ultra. Mandatory kit is required, and aid stations are cup-free, requiring runners to carry their own drinking container.
The route follows the old riverside haulage path, creating a distinct point-to-point course between the two Mayenne towns. Its first edition attracted 550 runners, a solid number for a local ultra. The organizing association is Le son de vie. Race profits benefit Deux rayons de soleil, a charity supporting twins with cerebral palsy, and the departmental Handisport committee.
