The Urban Trail de Bayeux is a night run through Bayeux, in the Calvados department of Normandy. Runners and walkers head out with mandatory headlamps, choosing short city formats such as 5 km, 10 km, or a longer option around 13 km. It is an urban trail rather than a countryside race: the route uses city streets, loops through the historic center, and includes unusual passages through private and public buildings.
The course is built around Bayeux after dark, with lit alleys, medieval streets, and the race motto “Believe in your Star!” matching the headlamp atmosphere. Beginners, experienced runners, and walkers share the event, and recent editions have drawn large fields with around 1,800 participants and 120 volunteers. The race also supports local charity work, including a donation to the Ribambelle association, and it has picked up a best-organization award in its category.
