The Urban Trail de Caudry is a 13.5 km city race and walk held in Caudry, Nord department, Hauts-de-France. It takes place in April and has been organized annually since 2016 by Association des Chticoureurs Team 59. The event originated from a Chticoureurs meeting focused on creating a race to raise funds for cancer patients, supporting quality-of-life projects and palliative care equipment. It is sometimes known by the local nickname “L’Urban Trail de la Fricadelle et du Maroilles,” reflecting the event's friendly northern French character.
The route is designed as an urban trail, distinct from a standard road race, emphasizing exploration of Caudry from unique perspectives rather than solely covering the 13.5 km distance. Participants navigate through the town center, with the course revealing less-known spots and incorporating cultural elements. The event welcomes adults, children, walkers, and runners, offering changing rooms and aid stations. A complimentary Trail Kid event is included, providing a separate race for younger children and promoting early engagement with sports. Organizers also update the course with new locations and entertainment, ensuring a varied experience for returning participants.
