The Urban Trail de Mougins is a short-distance trail race held in Mougins, located in the Alpes-Maritimes department of southern France. Participants typically select a 9 km or 15 km route, and a children’s race is also part of the event. Contrary to what the name might suggest, organizers describe the course as more trail-like than urban, meaning it involves more than just running on town streets.
The race begins at the new Cœur de Mougins and is designed to showcase the town on foot, navigating its narrow old alleys. Previous events have featured longer and steeper options, with routes extending up to 30 km and including several hundred metres of elevation gain, indicating the format can accommodate more than a brief city run. Participants receive a T-shirt and medal from the City of Mougins, a refreshment station is provided, and digital race photos are available at no cost via Running06, with photography by Zoom dans l'oeil de Fab.
