The 32nd Randonnée Verte des Vélos Pictaves is a mountain bike ride based in Saint-Benoît, in the Vienne department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It is an off-road VTT event, with riders expected to control their speed, slow down around pedestrians or vehicles, and follow the Highway Code and local rules where the route meets public roads.
The course often uses private tracks, and the organizers stress that those passages exist only because landowners agreed to them after tough negotiations. Riders are told not to reuse those private sections after the event, to avoid sharing GPS files without warning others which parts are off-limits, to stay on the route unless they abandon and report it, and to keep stops to the side of the path rather than blocking it.
