Vivicitta is a two-day spring running festival in Budapest, with the start and finish located in a green, flower-filled park on Margaret Island. The program includes short family-friendly races up to the half marathon, featuring AIMS-certified 7 km, 10 km, and half marathon distances. This allows beginners, walkers, club runners, and faster athletes to find a suitable goal.
Saturday focuses on the 7 km race and shorter distances for less experienced runners, while Sunday features the 10 km and half marathon. The half marathon offers a tour of Budapest, crossing several Danube bridges, following the riverbank, and providing views of Buda Castle. The event is Hungary’s largest two-day spring sports event, and its variety of distances enables families to participate together over the same weekend, even if not running the same race.
