Waldi Trail is a spring trail-running event held in Neufgrange, a village in France’s Moselle department within the Grand Est region. Participants can select either an 11 km or 24 km run. The event also features an 11 km walk and children’s races of 1000 m and 3000 m.
The routes traverse forest and nature trails within a massif located a few kilometers from the Franco-German border, close to the Rhine. The 24 km loop involves an ascent of approximately 450 m, and the 11 km trail includes about 250 m of climbing. This means even the shorter race offers genuine elevation gain, distinguishing it from a simple flat village run. The event’s motto, “To recharge, it’s via Waldi,” reflects its essence: a local Moselle trail day centered on woods, hills, walkers, children, and runners selecting their preferred distance.
