X Trail Corrèze Dordogne is a trail-running weekend held in Argentat-sur-Dordogne, Corrèze, within the Dordogne Valley. Taking place in late September, it offers runners multiple options, ranging from a 14 km route to longer mountain-style courses of approximately 29 km, 56 km, and 80 km. The 80 km route exceeds 80 km with over 3,600 meters of elevation gain, and the 56 km course includes around 2,500 meters of gain. Relay and children's races are also available, catering to a wider range of participants beyond just ultra runners.
The courses traverse the gorges of the Dordogne and Maronne rivers, passing through twelve communes in the Xaintrie region. Much of the running follows narrow singletrack paths, with scenery including forests, valleys, lakes, ponds, torrents, historic villages, ruins, and castles. The event is part of the UTMB Index, a factor for runners seeking qualifying results. Organizers liken it to a rollercoaster in Corrèze, a description supported by the course's elevation profiles.
