The XCO de Vauvert - VTT begins near the retention basin by Chemin des Plaines and Chemin vieux de Beauvoisin in Vauvert, Gard, southern France. This cross-country mountain bike race is part of the Challenge Gardois XCO series, organized by Vélo Tonic Vauverdois. It includes categories for licensed youth, juniors, women, masters, elites, and single-speed riders. Distances vary from a 1 km loop for the youngest participants to 26.1 km with 680 m of elevation gain for junior, under-23, senior elite, and M35 competitors.
The courses feature XCO-style loops with paths, singletrack, technical sections, playful areas, and minor constructed features. Riders can preview the marked course beforehand, and the organizer supplies a GPX track, giving it the feel of a well-organized club event. The schedule separates morning races for adult and older categories from afternoon races for U15 down to U7 riders, with Challenge Gardois awards presented after each session. Vélo Tonic Vauverdois has rejoined the Challenge Gardois XCO calendar after an absence, marking a return to the series for the Vauvert club.
