Xrace Adventure guides participants—runners, riders, hikers, and ski-wheel racers—up Mont Ventoux, starting from Bédoin in Vaucluse, Provence. This mid-June mountain event offers multiple ways to ascend the climb: road hiking, trail hiking, mountain biking, run-and-bike, full-bike racing, and roller-ski or ski-wheel racing. Distances vary from 21 km to 88 km, accommodating individuals walking the road route, duos sharing a 71 km run-and-bike effort, or cyclists tackling the 88 km Full Bike option.
The start and finish are at the Centre de Vacances des Florans, with courses directed toward Mont Ventoux, known as the Giant of Provence. The Xrace format combines VTT, trail, and road cycling ascents, while Xrace+ includes roller-ski or ski-wheel climbing. Participants can compete solo or in relays. The event attracts a diverse field, including Olympic champions and a mountain bike world championship competitor, not just local amateurs. A Saturday evening concert provides a social gathering after the races.
