Running Limagne
日 10月 18
Running Limagne begins on the road to Entraigues, near the cemetery at the edge of Chappes, and concludes in front of the Chappes sports complex. This road running event, held in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, offers a 10 km race and a half marathon in October. Both courses are entirely on roads, utilizing loops through Chappes, Entraigues, and Chavaroux. The half marathon completes the 10 km loop twice, while the 10 km race provides runners the same flat, fast terrain in a single lap. With very little elevation gain, it is a suitable option for those aiming for a personal best rather than a challenging trail run. Bibs are collected on race morning at the gymnasium within the Chappes sports complex. The two races begin consecutively, with the half marathon starting first.
Marathon des Puys
木 10月 22
Marathon des Puys is a city road race held in Clermont-Ferrand, within the Puy-de-Dôme department of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The primary event is a 42.195 km marathon, with options for 10 km or 5 km races. Duo and relay formats are also available for the marathon distance. The race utilizes its location in a volcanic region, with finishers calling it simply “a volcanic marathon.” It is part of a French race series focused on helping runners explore local areas and heritage. The appeal lies not just in the distance but in Clermont-Ferrand's setting within the Puys landscape.
La Courstache Aubière
日 10月 25
At La Courstache in Aubière, near Clermont-Ferrand, the moustache is part of the point: runners can arrive with their own or get one painted at the makeup areas before starting. The event raises money for the fight against male cancers, with 100% of registration fees going to the La Courstache Endowment Fund. It offers FFA-certified timed 5 km and 10 km road races, plus a 5 km walk or free-pace solidarity option for those who want the cause without a race clock. The races use public roads, including sections temporarily closed to traffic, and the event is run with ASPTT Clermont and a large volunteer security team. Recent editions have drawn more than 6,500 participants overall, while the 10 km alone has listed over 2,100 finishers. Families, walkers, club runners, first-timers, and people with reduced mobility all have a place through the 5 km solidarity format. The welcome village adds men’s health and cancer-prevention stands, and the fund has paid for concrete local projects such as virtual reality headsets and resin 3D printers for Centre Jean Perrin, adaptive physical activity equipment, and socio-esthetic support care at Clermont-Ferrand hospital.
La Courstache
日 11月 1
La Courstache is a charity run and walk in Aubière, Puy-de-Dôme, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The concept is straightforward: wear a mustache and raise funds for the fight against male cancers. It typically takes place in November, featuring timed 5 km and 10 km road races, alongside a 5 km walk or free-pace option for those preferring not to race against time. The event welcomes both runners and walkers, allowing club athletes, casual joggers, families, and supporters to participate. Mustaches are integral to the tradition; men are encouraged to grow one, fake mustaches are provided, and makeup stations assist everyone in joining the theme. ASPTT Athlétisme, a French athletics club, manages the race, offering refreshment stations and changing facilities. The series has seen over 24,500 participants in total, with a recent edition attracting more than 6,500 people and raising over 260,000 euros for men’s health causes.
Espri'Trail des Badins
日 11月 8
Espri'Trail des Badins is a trail-running event in Châteldon, a village in the Puy-de-Dôme department of central France, with races typically held in early November. It provides three off-road distances: approximately 9.6 km, 14 km, and 21.3 to 22 km. Runners can select a short local trail or a more challenging half-marathon-style course. The event's tagline is “Espri’Explosif,” and the longest race involves a climb of roughly 1,020 metres, indicating a steep route rather than a leisurely countryside run. The courses are set around Châteldon in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The shorter routes include significant elevation gain: about 330 metres for the 9.6 km race and about 660 metres for the 14 km race. Aloha Evasion organizes the event, targeting trail runners interested in local food and lower-impact events. Previous listings referred to it as the Eco Trail des Badins, suggesting the current Espri'Trail version maintains that outdoor, environmentally conscious identity while featuring three compact yet hilly distances.
Trail Émilie
火 11月 17
Trail Émilie is a November trail-running event held in Combronde, a small town in the Puy-de-Dôme department of France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Participants can select from short and middle-distance formats, including 8 km, 10.3 km, and 24.7 km routes, accommodating both newer trail runners and those seeking a longer challenge. The event supports the Téléthon Pays de Combronde and is organized around a friendly local atmosphere, distinct from a large-city race. The routes traverse natural areas surrounding Combronde, featuring forest and countryside sections. Previous editions included courses designed by participants. Past route names featured La Cumba-Runda, a 9 km hike; La Combronita, a 12.4 km discovery trail; and Le Combrondio, a 22.7 km short trail. The race commemorates Émilie, who passed away after a prolonged battle with cystic fibrosis, giving the event a charitable purpose alongside its athletic one. On-site services include refreshments and changing rooms.
Trail Emilie - Combronde
水 11月 18
Trail Emilie is a November trail race held in Combronde, located in the Puy-de-Dôme department of central France. It offers participants two off-road courses: a 24.7 km race categorized as a 20k, and a 10.3 km race designated as a 10K. This setup accommodates both long-distance trail runners and those seeking a shorter run on the paths. The course guides runners through protected natural areas surrounding Combronde, prioritizing trails over roads. The event is designed for trail running fans, presented by the organizers as a communal occasion for runners to share the course, their exertion, and the local landscape.
La ronde des compagnons - Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule
月 11月 30
La Ronde des Compagnons is a road race held in Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule, a town in France's Allier department. The local club Coureurs des Vignes organizes the event. The format includes short races for children: 1 km for ages 5 to 9 and 2 km for ages 10 to 15. Adults can choose between 5 km and 10 km races. The adult races are priced at 10 euros for the 5 km and 12 euros for the 10 km, with online entry managed by Sportips. The race focuses on local club running, not a large-scale event. One past edition featured new routes for both adult distances. The shorter adult course was approximately 5.4 km and described as hilly. Results indicate a diverse field of participants, including club runners, category competitors, and returning racers. Runners earned age-group podium spots in the 5.4 km race, and the 10 km saw finishers around 42 minutes, 48 minutes, and 55 minutes. The event includes separate starts for children, making it suitable as a family race day in addition to a standard road race for adults.
Trails chantelle sports nature
土 1月 23
Trails Chantelle Sports Nature is a long-running January trail series held in Chantelle, France, within the Allier region. Races take place in the Gorges de la Bouble, a protected Sensitive Natural Area. The event offers runners several distinct challenges: an 8 km Trail des Passerelles with 200 m of elevation gain, a 12 km Trail des Moulins with 300 m, a 21 km Trail des Terrasses de la Bouble with 400 m, and a 27 km Trail des Gorges de la Bouble with 600 m. Additionally, there is Le P’tit Trail de Chantelle, a 2.5 km youth race featuring 50 m of climbing. The routes primarily follow paths and single tracks through the gorges and the Chantelle countryside, with minimal pavement. Some past editions have allowed participants to select between shorter and longer distances at the 11 km point, permitting juniors on the shorter option but not the longer one. The race has significant local involvement: volunteers dedicate multiple Saturdays to clearing brush and preparing trail sections. Approximately seventy individuals assist on race day with tasks such as managing road crossings, directing participants, staffing aid stations, and organizing the post-race meal. Entry fees cover aid stations and a finish-line meal, and all participants receive a prize.
Le Loup solidaire
月 2月 15
The Le Loup Solidaire begins at the town hall in Pont-Château, a commune in the Puy-de-Dôme department of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This yearly urban road race offers two afternoon events: a 10 km race and a 5 km race. Both are available for individual participants or relay teams. The courses remain within the town, featuring up to 200 m of elevation gain for the 10 km and up to 100 m for the 5 km. CCourir à Pont-Château, an FFA-affiliated club, manages the event. All proceeds benefit two charities: Les Pas Possibles de Quentin and Chloé (Entendre & Parler).
Course solidaire courir pour Chloë - Pont-du-Château
火 2月 16
The Course solidaire courir pour Chloë is a solidarity running event held in Pont-du-Château, located in the Puy-de-Dôme department of central France. Participants can choose between two road-running distances: 10 km and 5 km, with both races commencing at 10:00 AM. The event's core purpose is to support Chloë, making the cause integral to participation, not solely the competition. The 10 km course features 200 meters of elevation gain, and the 5 km course includes 100 meters of positive elevation. Neither route is entirely flat. This design makes the shorter race accessible yet challenging, and lends the 10 km a distinctly hilly character beyond a basic town circuit. Race details, including registration, are available on the organizer's website.
Le Loup Solidaire - Pont Du Chateau
日 2月 21
Le Loup Solidaire is an urban charity run in Pont-du-Château, starting at the town hall. It features two short road races: 5 km and 10 km, with afternoon starts scheduled closely, the 10 km at 15:30 and the 5 km at 15:40. The 10 km can be completed solo or as a relay, and the 5 km also offers a relay option, allowing teams to participate without each member running the entire distance. The course includes elevation changes: the 10 km has 200 m of climbing, and the 5 km has 100 m. All race proceeds benefit two associations, Les Pas Possibles de Quentin and Chloé (Entendre & Parler), which is the event's primary purpose.
