Les Foulées de Coursac is a two-day trail running event held in Coursac, a village in Dordogne, France, during November when trail races in the department are less common. The event offers more than a single race: participants can select daytime trails, a night trail, combined night-and-day challenges, canicross events, a hike, and a children's race. The main trail distances are 8 km, 12 km, and 20.5 km, with elevation factored in, extending some options to 9.5 km, 15.5 km, or 27 km. The short course has approximately 150 m of elevation gain, the 12 km routes climb about 350 m, and the longest day trail ascends about 650 m. The most unique option is the combined format, beginning with a 12 km night trail followed by either a 12 km or 20.5 km day trail. A 12 km hike is also available with the same 350 m climb as the mid-distance trail, alongside a 1.5 km children's race. The Comité des Fêtes de Coursac organizes the event, which has a history spanning many editions; older formats included 5 km, 10 km, 16 km, 19 km, and 20 km races.

The Trail du Pécharmant begins in the small Dordogne village of Creysse, winding through Creysse and Tuilières within the Pécharmant wine region near Bergerac. This winter trail-running event features two primary races with diverse off-road courses, including a Trail XS option covering 21 km and approximately 400 meters of elevation gain. The courses traverse vineyards and past chateaux, offering a local countryside atmosphere distinct from urban races. Night running is included in the schedule. The event's established history leads locals to consider it a traditional Dordogne trail race rather than a recent addition.

Trail des Grands Couteliers is a trail-running weekend in Nontron, organized by Team GC, featuring a night race followed by a full set of daytime events. The shortest adult run is La Nocturne, a 9.5 km evening race with 320 m of elevation gain. The main trail options are 12 km, 24 km, and 36 km. Walkers have a 12 km route, and children can race over 1.5 km, 3 km, or 4.5 km. The routes primarily traverse private land, with organizer access limited to race day, so participants do not see the exact courses beforehand. This secrecy is part of the event's design: entrants receive profiles, but the actual route is disclosed on the day. The longest race, Le Grand Trail des Couteliers, covers 36 km with 850 m of elevation gain. The 24 km race includes 550 m of climbing, indicating it's more than a simple local run. The event welcomed over 900 participants upon its return, with runners, walkers, and children integrated into the same program.
