Beast of the Blacks 10, 20 & 40 Mile 2027

Beast of the Blacks is a trail race starting in Crickhowell and heading into the Black Mountains of Wales, offering 10-mile, 20-mile, and 40-mile distances. These translate to approximately 17K, 32.5K, and 65K, providing options from a challenging short mountain run to an extended day in the hills. Limitless Trails organizes this event, which features generous cutoffs suitable for both novice and seasoned trail runners. The courses depart Crickhowell, ascending into the Black Mountains via forest paths, summit trails, river crossings, and routes near historical churches. The 40-mile event incorporates the 20-mile loop in reverse for its second stage, allowing participants to experience the terrain from a different perspective. This is a cup-free race, requiring all participants to carry their own reusable cup for hydration stations.
