Box Hill Vertical KM 2026

The Box Hill Vertical KM covers approximately 1000 metres of ascent within a 12.5-mile loop near Box Hill in Dorking, Surrey. This is a guided trail run, not a traditional race, beginning at 8:00 AM from Stepping Stones Car Park with a consistent group pace. The route, located in the Surrey Hills, focuses on sustained climbing over a short distance, making its name quite descriptive. The course features steep woodland ascents, heathland trails, open hillsides, and fields, including some technical sections requiring careful navigation. It bypasses repetitive hill repeats, instead connecting various hills and paths around Box Hill, incorporating less-travelled routes. Certain ascents are steep enough to necessitate scrambling on hands and knees, and the group can stop at the summit of each climb if required.
