The Brampton Junior Trail Run is a 1.8-mile / 2.9km off-road race for runners aged 9 to 15, held at The Sands on the edge of Brampton. It starts in the morning before the adult race, allowing younger runners their own event on part of the same standard route. Registration, the safety briefing, toilets, a finish water station, and a refreshment van are all located at the start and finish area.
The route includes one minor road crossing at the start and finish, with the remainder of the course off-road. Runners should anticipate mixed terrain, challenging hills, and potential mud, so trail shoes are recommended. The course is marked with arrows, marshals monitor junior runners, and a tail runner follows the field. This marks the third Brampton Junior Trail Run, featuring bespoke medals for all finishers and prizes for the top three boys and girls in the 9-10, 11-13, and 14-15 age categories, depending on participation.
