Brewdog Christmas Run

The BrewDog Christmas Run is a point-to-point fun run in the Aberdeen area, finishing at the BrewDog Brewery in Ellon. The full route covers 21 miles from Castlegate in Aberdeen, with a 15-mile option starting from Dyce. The run begins at 10:30am, and the longer distance offers a significant challenge approaching marathon length, distinct from a standard road marathon. Starting from Castlegate, the course winds through Aberdeen streets like Gallowgate and Haudagain before reaching Dyce, where the shorter route participants merge. From there, it proceeds north on the former Buchan and Formartine railway line towards Ellon. The event embraces the BrewDog identity, featuring "rehydration stations" at checkpoints stocked with beer and prosecco, alongside non-alcoholic and soft drink choices. Organizer David Scott describes it as a run focused on enjoyment, with options for charity fundraising via GoFundMe.
