The Conwy Half Marathon begins and ends on the quayside, directly in front of the historic Conwy Castle, which is over 700 years old. This road half marathon takes place in North Wales during November. A fun run is also part of the event, and the race has a maximum capacity of 4,000 participants. In recent years, over 3,000 runners have taken part, giving it the feel of a large-scale event rather than a small, local race.
The course departs Conwy along the Conwy River, proceeding towards Deganwy and the West Shore in Llandudno. It then follows Church Walks towards Llandudno Pier. From the pier, the route encircles the Great Orme, offering expansive vistas of Anglesey, Puffin Island, and the North Wales coastline, before making its way back to Conwy. Readers of Runner's World recognized it as one of the top five half marathons in the UK for its scenery, and the course has a history of facilitating numerous personal bests.
