The East Coast Chuffer is a multi-distance off-road running event in Scarborough, starting and finishing in Peasholm Park. Runners choose from 10K, half marathon, 20-mile, and marathon options, all using the historic Cinder Track, a firm trail laid along a former railway line.
The route follows one clear corridor, so navigation is simple: shorter races use out-and-back sections, while longer distances add repeatable loops. Along the way runners get coastal outlooks, woodland stretches, and old railway character, with water stations about every 3 miles and a Grim Bling medal for every finisher.
