Final Countdown 10K 2026

The Final Countdown 10K is a New Year’s Eve trail race in Sidmouth, Devon, starting and finishing on Sidmouth Seafront. It is a 10K for adult runners only, with a morning start and mandatory trail shoes, built for muddy coast-path and woodland running rather than a flat road dash. The route climbs from the seafront onto the South West Coast Path, turns inland for a large loop around Mutters Moor, and uses nearby woodland trails before dropping back down to the finish by the sea. Brian Lewis organises the race; finishers receive a bespoke Final Countdown medal, and trophies go to the first three men and women. The event supports Hospiscare, with runners asked to pledge £100 in fundraising, and entries can sell out.
