The Grewelthorpe Multi Terrain Race is a 13km run held in Grewelthorpe, near Masham in North Yorkshire. Race headquarters are at St James & Methodist Church. Scheduled for an October Sunday morning, it has a strict entry limit of 139 participants, giving it the feel of a village event rather than a large city race. The course is one undulating lap over mixed terrain, with water stations and distance markers provided.
The course ascends above Grewelthorpe before descending back towards the Dales village, finishing just outside it. Registration and prize giving take place at the Village Hall, which also offers additional toilets and a volunteer-run cafe. Finishers receive bananas at the finish line, followed by homemade soup and flapjacks at the Village Hall. The race is organized by The St James & Methodist Church, Grewelthorpe. Changing facilities and baggage storage are available, but showers are not provided, and the route is not suitable for wheelchairs.
