Haigh Hall 4 is a 4-mile trail race held at Haigh Hall in Wigan, Greater Manchester, starting at 7:30pm on an early summer evening. The race utilizes the Haigh Hall grounds, presenting itself as a short, local trail event centered on the country house estate.
The event is organized by Paul Carroll, and recent results indicate it has been held across multiple editions. Runners may also link their entry with GoFundMe fundraising. Haigh Hall provides the race with more historical context than many short trail runs: the current house was constructed for James Lindsay, 7th Earl of Balcarres, succeeding an older manor. It later came under the ownership of Wigan Council and is designated a Grade II* listed building, situated on an estate connected to Wigan’s coal and iron heritage.
