The Hardmoors 15 is a winter trail race of approximately 18 miles, beginning and ending in Robin Hood’s Bay on the North Yorkshire coast. Race day activities are centered at Fylingdales Village Hall, including registration, a race briefing, and the start. The participant limit is 150 people. Runners and walkers are allocated up to 8 hours to finish the course.
The course forms a loop from Robin Hood’s Bay, incorporating the Cinder Track and the Cleveland Way. This route combines former railway paths with sections of the coastal national trail. Dogs are prohibited. One pound from each entry fee is donated to the Cleveland Way National Trail. The organizers consider this a winter event; should North York Moors weather conditions necessitate cancellation for safety reasons, entrants will be offered a place in another Hardmoors race rather than a monetary refund.
