Jarrow 10k & Junior Race October 2026

The Jarrow 10K is an autumn road race in South Tyneside, starting and finishing on Monkton Athletics Track. It is a flat, measured 10K with closed roads, wide tarmac sections, and a two-lap layout designed for steady pacing and fast times. The event also includes a junior race, giving the day more of a club-meet feel than a stand-alone adult road race. The 10K starts on the track, moves to broad road sections, and returns to the stadium for the finish. It is part of the Top Flight Race Series and is run in partnership with Jarrow and Hebburn Athletics Club. The field can include leading UK athletes, but the setup also suits club runners chasing a PB. Finishers receive a medal, category prizes go to top performers, and support around the route adds energy without making the course complicated.
