Kimmy Kanter is a short off-road race in Rotherham, organized by Kimberworth Striders Running Club. The route covers approximately 4 miles, beginning at Millmoor Juniors on Droppingwell Lane in Kimberworth. This event aligns with the club’s practice of transitioning to trails and off-road courses during the summer.
The race originates from a local club established in 1986, which currently has over 160 members from the broader Rotherham region. Kimberworth Striders have hosted more than a hundred events, such as the Stan Bagshaw Toffee Run, Canal Race, Santa’s Special, and Kimmy Killer. Their Club Championship has utilized graded divisions since 1993, enabling runners of varying abilities to compete on more equitable terms.
