The 53k begins at 8:00 am for participants aged 20 and up, and the 23k starts at 10:00 am, open to those 17 and older. The 53k route crosses Derwent Water, passes through Seathwaite, ascends Scafell Pike, descends into Wasdale, skirts Kirk Fell towards Honister Pass, then tops High Spy before descending Catbells to conclude in Keswick. The 23k also commences and finishes in Keswick, going by Derwent Water and Manesty before climbing High Spy and descending via Catbells. Ultra participants receive live tracking, all runners are provided chip-timed results, complimentary official photographs, a custom medal, and post-race provisions. The course is marked with trail flags, tags, A5 arrows, signs, and marshals at key intersections.
