Lakeland Trails Hawkshead 2027

Lakeland Trails Hawkshead begins and ends at Hawkshead Recreation Ground in Cumbria. Participants can select a 10 km Trail Run or one of two 16 km routes: the Trail Race or the Trail Challenge. This off-road event utilizes fully marked footpaths and bridleways, incorporating short tarmac sections and offering views of Windermere and the surrounding fells. The Coffin Trail, a steep ascent lasting approximately one mile, is a notable feature. The courses also feature sharp, rocky descents and challenging terrain, though the ground is generally suitable for trail running. The 10 km route includes one water station and a two-hour time limit. The 16 km routes have two water stations, with a two-hour limit for the Race and three and a half hours for the Challenge. Participants must carry their own water and a reusable cup. Dogs are prohibited at the venue and on the course.
