Moonlit Meadow Run 2027

Moonlit Meadow Run is a night trail run in Taunton, offering 5K and 10K routes through Longrun Meadow after dark. It takes place in November and is part of the Dark Skies Series, which includes three night trail races across Somerset. Channel Events organizes the run, which received double gold awards. The Moonlit Meadow Run was the initial concept for the series. The course covers Longrun Meadow, Silk Mills, and French Weir Park, all accessible from Taunton town centre. The 5K route is traffic-free, and the 10K involves two laps of the same course. Its flat profile suits new runners and those aiming for a fast trail time. A unique feature is the passage through the Willow Cathedral, and on clear nights, the run occurs under moonlight. Participants can also run for Team Wilder or use a complimentary charity place to fundraise for wildlife.
