The New Forest Brockenhurst Trail Run begins at Roundhill Campsite, leading runners onto firm gravel paths within the New Forest National Park. This Saturday event offers 21.6k, 16.7k, and 10k distances, accommodating participants seeking anything from a shorter off-road run to a half-marathon distance. The park is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the event utilizes this setting without overly technical terrain.
The route follows broad, well-kept trails that remain firm even in wet conditions. It is predominantly flat with mild inclines, featuring 183 metres of elevation gain on the longest option, and crosses ancient woodland and heathland. Wild New Forest ponies, horses, donkeys, and deer might be seen near the path. New participants are welcomed; dogs are prohibited, and all finishers will receive a metal medal, a gift, and a drink.
