One Mile 2 Go is a lap-based trail race series held at Bawsey Park, located on the B1145 between the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Gayton. Distances offered include 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, and ultra. Participants can choose between a 9 am start with a six-hour cut-off or an 11 am start with a four-hour limit. Race headquarters are situated at the start and lap point.
The course features sand, gravel, and grass terrain; road shoes are generally suitable, though trail shoes offer an advantage in wet or loose conditions. A standard half marathon consists of five laps, with the option to extend to six or seven laps. The standard ultra is nine laps, extendable to twelve if time permits. Runners pass an aid station each lap and remain near the car park. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, unless an alternative is selected. Now in its second year, the event's short-loop format is well-suited for both novice runners and those aiming to achieve greater distances.
