The Royton Trail Race begins at 7:00 PM from Royton Cricket Club in Royton, Oldham, using the OL2 5TX start area. This 6.4-mile multi-terrain race follows an undulating, mostly rural path in Greater Manchester, presenting a challenging local trail run rather than a flat road event. The course terrain varies, requiring runners to manage ascents instead of maintaining a consistent speed. A recent running saw 309 finishers, with club runners from York Postal Harriers and Bury AC among the leading participants. David Emanuel directs the race, and participants have the option to link their entry to charity fundraising via GoFundMe.
