Run Aintree Half Marathon, 10k & 5k December 2026

Run Aintree takes place in December at Aintree Racecourse, the Liverpool location associated with the Grand National steeplechase. Participants can select a half marathon, 10k, or 5k race, all conducted on flat road laps within the racecourse circuit. The races feature chip timing and marked kilometres. The 5k consists of one lap, the 10k of two laps, and the half marathon includes an out-and-back section followed by four laps. This structure is straightforward for runners to follow and aids in pacing. The half marathon begins first, with the 10k and 5k starting afterwards, creating a staggered start to the morning. Entry covers a themed medal, complimentary race photos, water, and post-race refreshments. The event benefits the University Hospitals of Liverpool Charity. Marshals guide runners along the route and toward the finish line.
