Run Media City Christmas 5k & 10k 2026

The Run Media City Christmas 5k & 10k is a running event held at Media City in Salford, featuring 5k, 10k, and junior races. This is a small event, capped at 500 participants, and is part of the broader Run Media City 5k and 10k series. The 5k race begins first, followed by the 10k and then the junior race, structuring the morning around shorter, accessible distances. The course begins and ends in the heart of Media City, utilizing a flat 2.5km loop on paths and pavements. The 5k participants complete two laps, and the 10k participants complete four, passing the Imperial War Museum, ITV studios, and BBC studios. Participants are encouraged to wear Christmas attire, such as Santa hats or reindeer antlers. The event provides chip timing, official photographs, post-race items, and a themed medal. The event also supports Breast Cancer Now and Moya Cole Hospice.
