The Running Tribe Race in December is a winter loop event. Runners select their distance on race day, ranging from 7K or 10K to marathon and ultra distances. The race is structured around repeating 7K or 10.8K loops, allowing participants to begin with a moderate goal and continue if conditions permit. If a runner finishes before their initial target, their result is recorded based on the distance completed.
One loop option covers 10.8K, consisting of approximately 80% trail and 20% road. This route includes public footpaths, woodland sections, marked road crossings, and an estimated 2,100 ft of elevation gain across six laps. The start/finish area serves as the aid station, providing water, soft drinks, vegan and vegetarian food, and drop bag access between loops. Pacers are permitted at any point, crews can offer support along the course, and participants should carry essential winter gear like a head torch, charged phone, water bottle, warm layers, and a reusable cup.
