SATURN - The Snow Globe Gallop Bobble Hat Run - North 2026

The Snow Globe Gallop Bobble Hat Run - North is a pre-Christmas Saturn Running event held at Durham Amateur Rowing Club. It operates on a 7-hour time-challenge basis, allowing participants to select their own distance rather than committing to a set one. The minimum requirement for an official finish is 3km. This event welcomes walkers, offering more flexibility than a typical road race. The course follows a marked trail alongside the River Wear, with views of Durham Cathedral. No special navigation skills are necessary. A standard lap is 7km, though the loop may vary due to course conditions. Turnaround points for 3km and 5km are located within the lap. Completing three laps equates to a half marathon, six laps to a marathon, and seven or more laps to an ultra. A 50km option is also available. All finishers receive a themed medal, a bobble hat, and a goody bag. Half marathon finishers and above also get distance pins attached to their medal ribbon.
